Vehicle Area Network (VAN)

A Vehicle Area Network or VAN is a local area network in and around a moving vehicle. It enables devices in and around the vehicle to communicate, either directly connected or through wireless protocols over the Internet.  A vehicle area network consolidates traffic from all the various devices and routes them over a network. Data911’s suite of products provides a vehicle area network (VAN) consisting of in-car mobile computer systems, in-car cameras with live-streaming video, automatic license plate recognition/capture and real-time automatic vehicle location (AVL) for your entire fleet.

Mobile Router

A 3G/4G mobile router lets you share a secure mobile internet connection with colleagues within range. It is ideal for off-site situations, such as crime scenes and report taking environments, where sharing information and doing work outside of the vehicle is critical.

Emergency Response

When responding to a large multi-agency incident, you can quickly set up a wireless network and allow your team members to access communications, information and share important files.

Remote Desktop

You can remotely control the in-vehicle computer from outside the vehicle with a variety of portable options, including WiFi enabled smart phones, netbooks/notebooks and tablets.
