LTI . Laptop Interface System

Many agencies have laptop computers as their mobile data solution and have found that they are less rugged than desired, not sunlight visible, and not ergonomically desirable for in-car computing. To remedy this specific situation, the Data911 Laptop Interface system was developed as an excellent way to upgrade existing hardware.

The Data911 Laptop Interface system incorporates our sunlight-visible, dash-mounted, rugged LED touch screen displays with virtually any laptop or comparable mobile computer system. Our system uses a laptop of your choosing as the CPU and incorporates the Data911 display, our rugged detached backlit keyboard and our 12-volt power supply/interface box. The result is a comprehensive solution with ergonomic and air bag safety benefits.

The Data911 Laptop Interface system consists of three separate components:

Display, Interface box and Keyboard. Separation of the system into these modules provides flexible mounting options in airbag safe zones. Additionally, through an external serial port, any laptop can be configured to provide touch screen functionality on the Data911 display, regardless of whether or not the laptop is touch screen equipped.

Data911 displays are available in 4 sizes: 8.4", 10.4", 12.1" and 15.0"
