Power Supply
The Power Supply was designed specifically for vehicular installations. It provides constantly regulated 12 volt power to the computer so that it continues to function smoothly even while the starter motor is in operation (6 to 18 volt input). This eliminates undesired restarts of the computer and the potential loss of critical data.

Processor
The processor is housed in a sealed aluminum case for the optimal combination of ruggedness and insulation. Its compact size allows for mounting in small spaces such as the glove box, center console, under seat, or trunk.

Power Control Module
The Data9ll Power Control Module is the most advanced power management solution designed for the demands of mobile computing in a patrol vehicle.

Integrated in the CPU, the Data9ll Power Control Module protects against inadvertent battery drain and provides an automatic and orderly shutdown of the M5. Other computer-dependent accessories, such as external radio modems, can also be powered off with the computer when the timer expires or low voltage is detected.
